Casual games, or video games in general, have seeped well into the depths of pop culture.  Currently listed on Craigslist right now are casting calls for a said Rock Band 2 themed reality show.

As if Director Brett Ratner’s proposal of a Guitar Hero movie isn’t enough, now word has just gotten in that Mark Burnett, responsible for “reality” based shows such as Survivor and The Contender, is reportedly working with MTV to produce a reality show that will feature the upcoming music game.  

Teams of four players will battle it out on stage, and on TV, to see who will be the ultimate Rock Band..band.  This is great news for spotlight hogs with A.D.D. and for pseudo-musicians alike.  Not only will it be another chance for people who would do anything to be on TV to actually be on TV, but it also means that for those who lost all their friends trying to nail “Run to the Hills” on expert, now’s your chance to get them back with your 15 minutes of fame.

Though it hasn’t really been confirmed, it appears that auditions are only open to those in the Southern California area, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take a flight over there.

 

Get Rock Band 2 by just filling out a survey and start practicing.
